BeeSwarmly collects two categories of information: account information and hive sensor data. Account information includes your name, email address, billing details, and apiary location. Hive sensor data includes temperature readings, acoustic recordings, humidity measurements, weight data, and associated timestamps collected by hardware sensors installed in your hives.
We use account information to manage your subscription, process payments, and communicate service updates. Hive sensor data is used to generate swarm predictions, health alerts, and trend analyses displayed on your dashboard. With your explicit opt-in consent, anonymized and aggregated sensor data may be used to improve our prediction models. We never use individual hive data for any purpose other than providing you with monitoring services.
You retain full ownership of all hive sensor data collected by your hardware. You may export your data in CSV, JSON, or API formats at any time. You may request complete deletion of your data at any time by emailing app@beeswarmly.com. Upon account deletion, all associated sensor data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
Sensor data is transmitted from your gateway to our servers using TLS 1.3 encryption. Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256. The LoRa link between sensors and your gateway uses unique device-level encryption keys. Our cloud infrastructure is hosted on ISO 27001–certified facilities. We conduct regular security audits and penetration testing.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or individual hive data to third parties. We may share data with payment processors (for billing), cloud infrastructure providers (for hosting), and analytics services (for platform improvement). All third-party providers are contractually obligated to maintain the confidentiality of your data.
Our website uses essential cookies for session management and authentication. We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand platform usage patterns. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. You may disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings.
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information and sensor data at any time. You may opt out of aggregated data research without affecting your service. You may close your account at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at app@beeswarmly.com.
BeeSwarmly is not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 16, we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to all registered account holders at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
